Caoura Cliffs is a private country estate and wedding destination in the Southern Highlands of NSW. It's 1,100 acres of untamed Australian landscape, high above the Shoalhaven Gorge and around two hours from Sydney.

Just two hours from Sydney in the heart of the Southern Highlands, Caoura Cliffs is 1,100 private acres with 4.5 kilometres of Shoalhaven escarpment frontage. Most venues have a view. This one has a cliff line.
And it's old, distinctly Australian country: weathered sandstone ledges, stands of old gums along the farm tracks, and mist that lifts out of the gorge at first light.
The ceremony happens on the cliff edge, high above the river. The reception fills a glass pavilion, your closest people sleep at The Homestead, and from check-in to checkout, yours is the only booking.

Dinner in a glass pavilion, whatever the weather.
Floor-to-ceiling glass opens to the escarpment on three sides. Cocktails and canapés start on the terrace as the sun drops, then dinner moves inside to the long tables, the five-metre green marble bar and a fire in the hearth.

Two nights included
Take over Caoura for the whole weekend.
Every wedding here comes with two nights at The Homestead. You arrive the afternoon before, wake on the property on the morning of, and have breakfast together the day after before anyone drives home.
Yours is the only booking. From 2pm the day before until midday the morning after, the only people on 1,100 acres are the ones you invited.

The Pavilion runs on solar power. Its structures and furnishings are crafted from reclaimed and locally sourced timber from the surrounding farm.

A family property, first
Loved, lived in, and shared.
Caoura Cliffs belongs to Kathryn and David, who spent fifteen years restoring a derelict Tallong farm, and married on its cliffs themselves in 2019.
The farm came first and the venue second. The family still runs it themselves, and shares it with a small number of couples each year.
