Why come and see us

The best way to understand Caoura is to stand on it.

There's a moment, standing at the edge of the escarpment with 1,100 acres falling away in front of you, when the whole thing makes sense. The scale, the quiet, the light — none of it reads on a screen.

A private tour is unhurried and entirely yours. No showroom, no crowd — just you, your people if you'd like them, and the land itself. Bring your questions; we'll walk you through everything from ceremony spots to how the weekend actually runs.

What to expect

A morning on the property.

  • Walk the ceremony sites

Stand where you'd say your vows — the clifftop above the gorge, the open field, the sheltered spots. See how the light falls and which one feels like yours.

  • Step inside the Pavilion

See the Lantern Pavilion where receptions happen — the scale of the space, the glass, the way it opens to the escarpment at dusk.

  • Tour the Homestead

Walk through the on-site accommodation where you and your guests stay, so you can picture the whole weekend, not just the day.

  • Talk it all through

Ask about dates, numbers, logistics and what's included. You'll leave with a clear sense of what a Caoura wedding involves — and what it costs.

How a visit works

Unhurried, private and led by someone who knows the land.

Tours run by appointment, usually on weekdays and quieter weekends, and take around ninety minutes. We keep them one couple at a time so the property — and our attention — is entirely yours.

We'll take you across the site by vehicle and on foot, so wear something comfortable and bring a jacket; the escarpment can be cool and the weather is part of the charm.

Good to know

One couple at a time, by appointment

Allow around ninety minutes. Bring whoever's helping you decide — partners, parents, planners are all welcome.

Can't make it in person?

We'll bring Caoura to you.

If you're planning from interstate or overseas, or simply can't get to Tallong just yet, we're happy to walk you through the property over a video call and send you everything you need.

Either way, the conversation starts the same — tell us a little about the wedding you're imagining, and we'll help you see whether Caoura is the place for it.
