Good to know

The questions couples ask first.

How many guests can we invite?

We are certified to host up to 120 guests in The Pavilion.

Is there a curfew?

Caoura Cliffs has a 10:00pm curfew, and it's a condition of our development approval and a term of your agreement rather than a house preference. Your celebration ceases at 10pm — amplified music and speeches end, outdoor areas close — and guests depart the property at that point, with only those approved to stay overnight remaining. So your coaches need to be here and ready to board before 10pm rather than pulling in as it arrives. Settle that with your operator when you book, confirm it with us, and we'll build the end of the night on your run sheet so the last hour runs towards it.

Can we BYO alcohol?

Caoura Cliffs is a dry-hire bar, meaning we don't supply your beverages. You're encouraged to provide your own (which we can chill ahead of your wedding), and your caterer or bar provider may be able to source a selection for you.

While it's BYO, it's not self-serve: your alcohol must be served by an RSA-certified, licensed bar team. Your caterer can usually provide this, or we can recommend trusted bar service.

How BYO works here

Are children welcome?

Absolutely. Caoura Cliffs welcomes the whole family, and there's a baby change table in the accessible bathroom at The Pavilion. Please note The Cliffs ceremony site is an open ledge with a steep drop. Our team is always onsite managing the cliff-edge during the ceremony, but the cliffs span several kilometres, so constant supervision of children is essential. We recommend a dedicated childminder or ensuring parents are across the safety considerations.

Can we bring a band or DJ?

Absolutely. We welcome live music, and the Pavilion is a beautiful room to play: the timber softens the glass, so bands and speeches sound warm and clear rather than echoey. We have an AV technical guide we can provide your entertainment on request, and between sets, you or your DJ are welcome to play a Spotify playlist through our audio system.
